Protein French Toast with Caramelized Bananas and Cream Cheese Glaze
A well balanced and healthy version of classic french toast. Topped with caramelized bananas and a protein-spiked cream cheese glaze.

- 4 slices whole grain bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup almond milk unsweetened
- 1/4 cup whey protein powder vanilla
- 1/2 tsp, each cinnamon and ginger
- 1/2 tbsp coconut oil or butter
For the caramelized banana
- 1 medium banana sliced
- 1/2 tbsp coconut oil or butter
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
For the cream cheese glaze
- 2 tbsp light cream cheese
- 1 tbsp almond milk unsweetened
- 1 tbsp whey protein powder vanilla
For the french toast
Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium-high
Mix milk, eggs, protein powder, cinnamon and ginger in a shallow dish
Dunk slices of bread, one side then the other in the liquid mixture, making sure not to soak too much
Fry bread in a pan until nicely browned on each side
